How do I close my brokerage account?

If you do not have any cash, open trade positions or orders on your account, jump to Step 3.


Note: Once your account is closed, you will no longer have access to our platform and will no longer be able to perform any transactions or retrieve any information on the trading platform. Please ensure you have downloaded any data you may need for tax purposes.


1. Close any remaining open trade positions and cancel working orders.


2. Withdraw any remaining money. Remember that it may take time for proceeds of sales to settle into your account.


Note: Please refer to the withdraw funds instructions if you are unsure how to do so.

3. Retrieve your Account Statements and any other reports required.


Note: All reports needed for your tax declaration can be found in the documents tab of the Webull App. We recommend that you save a copy of your statements and executed trade reports for your records.


4. Close your account via the Webull App:

Tap 'Menu'

Tap 'Settings'

Tap 'Manage Brokerage Account'

Select 'Close Brokerage Account'



Closure requests will take 1 to 3 days to process and finalise.
