What are the trading rules for A-shares?

What are the trading rules for A-shares?


1. Trading Lot: A-shares are traded in lots, typically consisting of 100 shares. Clients must buy at least one lot of shares, and the maximum order size is 1,000,000 shares.


2. A-shares trading only supports limit orders.


3. Order modification is not allowed for A-shares trading. If you wish to modify your A-shares order, you must first cancel the unexecuted order and then place a new one.


4. Day-trading is not allowed for A-shares. Clients can only sell A-shares positions after settlement (T+1).


5. Settlement: A-shares trades settle on a T+1 basis, meaning transactions are settled one trading day after the trade date.


Example: If the trade is made on Monday (T-day), settlement will be completed on Tuesday. If the trade is made on Friday (T-day), settlement will be completed on the following Monday. Weekends and public holidays are not settlement days.


6. ChiNEXT and STAR symbols are currently not available for trading on Webull.
