** Germany's Siltronic WAFGn.DE and Infineon IFXGn.DE rise around 1.7%, as Swiss sensor maker ams OSRAM AMS.S is up 4.5%

** BE Semiconductor BESI.AS jumps 8.3%, while equipment manufacturers ASML ASML.AS and ASMI ASMI.AS rise 2.3% and 2.9%, respectively

** Franco-Italian chipmaker STMicroelectronics STMPA.PA is up 1.2%, while Nordic Semiconductor NOD.OL rises 2.6%

** Europe's largest software maker SAP SAPG.DE is up 1.8%, German software developer TeamViewer TMV.DE rises 4.2%
